Gaia produces and markets in large scale the variety developed
by Agronomist Carlos Henrique Rodrigues, called Golden.
The Papaya Golden is a firmer fruit, and
is ideal for consumption when its peel is completely yellow.
This means a longer lifetime for its consumption. Its pulp
is salmon color; this is stronger than other varieties.
This ensures the fruit has a very attractive appearance.
Approximately 80% of the volume exported today by Gaia is
of the Golden variety, due to the great demand for it by
our customers. It is distributed in 3.5-kg boxes.

We also have the Solo Sunrise and Formosa
varieties:
The
Papaya Sunrise is ready for consumption
when its peel is half green, with approximately 50% of maturation.
Its pulp is rosy, and this is one of the most known varieties.
It is also distributed in 3.5-kg boxes.
The dimensions of the Formosa draw our
attention. It is actually bigger than the Golden and the
Sunrise, and is enjoyed by hotels and restaurants. It is
distributed in 4.0-kg and 8.0-kg boxes.
