The production of Roots (Eddoes, Yam, and Ginger) is performed by authorized producers, however relying on Gaia support and technical guidance. Most of the properties in Santa Leopoldina, Santa Tereza and Santa Maria (Espírito Santo) are small and the agriculture is family oriented, and our partnership with these families allow their properties to generate income with products that are an integral part of their crops.

Eddoes and Yam produce year round, as well as the Papaya, but their production is concentrated on the months from March to November. The production is significant. Gaia exports approximately 1200 tons of Ginger, 1200 tons of Yam, and 400 tons of Eddoes during the year.

Export of Yam and Eddoes occurs during the whole year, being the major production between the months of March and October.
