Deliciously healthy
Papaya is the Ideal fruit for you to start the day well.
Digestive (due to the papain) and having high contents of
proteins and vitamins, Papaya is perfect to be eaten “in
natura”, accompanied by other fruits or mixed with
cereals, ice creams, creams, honey and jellies.
Origin
The papaya tree (Carica papaya L.) is a typically tropical
plant, very ancient, originated from the northwestern South
America, on the Andes eastern slopes or more precisely on
the Upper Amazon Basin, where its genetic diversity is enormous.
What we know about Papaya
There are numerous researches revealing more and more benefits
for those who eat Papaya regularly. The German researcher
Barbara Simonsohn wrote the book “Papaya, the Wonder
Fruit”, which was recently translated and published
in the U.S. marketplace. The book highlights a number of
the fruit characteristics: it contains antioxidant elements
such as the beta-carotene (in quantity higher than that
found in carrots), vitamin C (in greater quantity than in
kiwis), various bioflavonoids, a series of minerals such
as potassium (more than in bananas), magnesium and calcium,
and a very low contents of sodium. In addition to the greatest
alkalinity level already known.
Tea from leaves, its seeds and flowers are offered in natural
product shops for a number of purposes such as skin cares,
digestive, hepatic, neurological, and endocrinal treatments.
