We have been exporting Papaya since 1993 to a number of countries in Europe, Mercosul and Canada. In 1998, Gaia managed to obtain an authorization from the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) in order to market Papaya within the U. S. marketplace.

We provided a stable supply in the 52 weeks of the year, what has qualified us to win more and more markets. In 2003, we exported altogether 3,100,000 boxes of papaya (approximately 11,000 tons).

In addition to Papaya we also have the Roots. We started from 40 tons of Ginger in 1994 to 2,900 tons of roots (Ginger, Yam and Eddoes) in 2003.
